This is a map of Mars at 2.12 microns wavelength made from a number of images obtained during the 2003
opposition with the UIST instrument on the 3.8m United Kingdom Infrared Telescope. The features seen on
the map are similar to those seen at visible wavelengths, although the contrast tends to be higher.
